Biography

Dr. Reda El Arafy is a Remote Sensing Geologist who has published several research papers on remote sensing, geology, and GIS. He is affiliated with the Nuclear Materials Authority in Egypt and has been involved in developing space mining projects that use satellites to locate new mother lodes of minerals on Earth.

Dr. El Arafy’s research focuses on using remote sensing techniques to locate potential ores of uranium and other precious elements. He has identified signatures that hint at the presence of uranium and gold deep underground with an impressive accuracy of some 90 percent. Dr. El Arafy’s research could be used to find iron, copper, manganese, and other economically valuable elements.

Dr. El Arafy is also an Associate Professor of Remote Sensing and Nuclear Geology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
