Dr. Pascal Michael

Renowned Researcher in Phenomenology and Neuroscience of the DMT and Near-Death Experiences

Biography

Pascal Michael is a lecturer in Psychology at the University of Greenwich, where he specializes in the study of psychedelics, psychical research, neuroscience, and clinical psychology. He holds a BSc Hons in Neuroscience from the University of Aberdeen, where he investigated the neurotrophic effects of the Omega-3 fatty acid EPA, and an MSc in Clinical Mental Health Sciences from University College London, focusing on the post-acute wellbeing effects of DMT. He completed his PhD under Dr. David Luke at the University of Greenwich, conducting qualitative analyses of mystical-type human experiences, particularly comparing DMT experiences with near-death experiences (NDEs).

Pascal has presented his research at notable conferences such as Breaking Conventions and has delivered talks for organizations including the Psychedelic Society UK and the Tyringham Initiative. His work has been published in journals like *Frontiers in Psychology*. He also co-leads the ALEF Trust’s certificate program in Psychedelics, Altered States, and Transpersonal Psychology and is the 2020 recipient of the Parapsychology Association’s Schmeidler Outstanding Student Award.

Outside of academia, Pascal enjoys writing blog articles and poetry, particularly on themes that explore the intersection between the naturalistic and supernatural. He is also an amateur actor and drummer.
